{Portland Wedding Coordinator’s Hot Tips} Six Venues Where You Can Party ‘Til Late

Here are six Portland wedding venue locations that we love that allow you and your guests to have music and dance way past the typical 10pm venue deadline.

Castaway

The first venue is Castaway Portland, a historic warehouse turned event spot in NW Portland that can hold up to 400 guests. Castaway has a great patio; if more outdoor space is needed, their neighbors Pomarius Nursery and Versailles Gardens can be rented. This venue allows for indoor music and dancing until late, depending on your preference and the 12-hour total event time limit. Both garden areas can remain open late as well, allowing guests to have cocktails and continue celebrating in these outside locations, though outdoor amplified music must conform to City of Portland ordinances.

World Forestry Center

Our second venue is the World Forestry Center, located in Washington Park. They offer many different indoor and outdoor combination options at this venue, which is only one of the many reasons we love them. You can choose to have their beautiful tent and enjoy the outdoor plaza, right next to Cheatham Hall, a great option for an indoor space. You and your guests can enjoy the outdoor area until midnight with amplified music, which makes for great late night dancing – a rarity in Portland. There is also the option of moving to one of their inside spaces.

Multnomah Arts Center

Multnomah Arts Center is a great venue in Multnomah Village. It is a beautiful arts center with classrooms and art galleries. They offer a few different options for indoor spaces depending on what you’re looking for and how many guests you have. They offer a courtyard area for a cocktail hour or small reception, as well. This venue is available until 1 o’clock AM, although there is an extra cost for your event to go after midnight.

Our fourth venue is right in the middle of downtown Portland: Lan Su Chinese Garden is a unique event space that is perfect for an outdoor wedding! For a seated ceremony, this venue can hold around 120 guests (in two seating areas split across a pond). For a partially seated reception, the space allows for up to 200 guests. Though this venue can hold a large number of guests and is right in the middle of the city, it feels like an intimate escape. This space allows amplified music until 11 PM, both outdoors, and in their smaller indoor location.

Roadhouse

Cornelius Pass Roadhouse
is a restored farm that provides some great options. They have a historic barnhouse and barnyard that allows for up to 150 guests, as well as a meadow and an orchard that can both hold up to 400 guests in the summer and 200 in the winter (with a tent). As for indoor choices, the restored roadhouse itself can hold up to 100 seated guests inside. All of their spaces allow guests to stay until midnight, so this would be a great place for an outdoor wedding!

Last but not least, The Foundry at Oswego Pointe in Lake Oswego, offers a picturesque setting overlooking the Willamette River, with a modern feel. They offer four different outside locations, which can hold anywhere from 130 to 300 guests. The Great Hall is a good option if you want an indoor space for a reception or dinner, and allows for 240 seated guests. All the indoor and outdoor spaces are open until 1 o’clock AM, though amplified music outdoors must stop at 10.
